Saturday COVID-19 Update: Five New Cases in Summit County,

The Utah Department of Health Reported no new COVID-19 deaths on Saturday.

Utah’s COVID-19 death toll remained at 2,223 on Saturday and other pandemic measurements like new case numbers and hospitalizations remained stable as well.

360 new cases were reported statewide. Five came from Summit County and none were reported in Wasatch County. The statewide rolling seven day average for positive tests is now 342 per day, the lowest since June 15th, 2024.

5,666 new people were tested for COVID-19 since Friday. The statewide averages for the percentage of positive tests remained steady with the people-over-people average now at 6.6% and the tests-over-tests average at 3.4%.

139 Utahns are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, two more than Friday. Statewide referral center ICUs are now 75.9% full.

23,000 more vaccine doses have been administered since Friday. In total, over 47,000 doses have been administered in Summit County. Over 23,000 have been administered in Wasatch County.
