SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Department of Health Saturday reported 23,521 cases of the COVID-19 virus and a total of 727 deaths since March 8, 2024.
The New Jersey Department of Health Saturday reported 880,307 total cases since last year, an increase of 495 overnight. There are 23,151 COVID-19-related deaths in New Jersey since last year, an increase of 22 overnight.
A total of 3,486,709 New Jersey residents have been vaccinated, more than halfway to the goal of 4.7 million by June 30 set by Gov. Phil Murphy, with 13,738,251 COVID-19 tests administered statewide.
The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is 158,044,535 including 3,291489 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Saturday morning, with 33,423,238 cases in the United States and 594,981 deaths.
The SCDOH confirmed the deaths of 210 Franklin Township residents; 97 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 104 in Bridgewater; 47 in Bernards Township; 54 in North Plainfield; 35 in Green Brook; 17 in Watchung; 22 in Raritan; 24 in Bound Brook; 22 in Warren; 22 in Manville; 20 in Somerville; 23 in Montgomery; 10 in Branchburg; 5 in Bedminster; 5 in Bernardsville; 4 in South Bound Brook; 4 in Peapack-Gladstone; 1 in Rocky Hill and 1 in Far Hills.
